| + | * Hailing from Cait, 2nd planet in the Lynx System. Named at the age of one as per Caitian naming tradition that believes their young's true personality is evolved in their first year. Az's Caitian name is K’hentimentiu, a mythical god of the dead's destiny, translated to and loosely related to Terran Achrangel Azrael (Angel of Death) and first letter is indicative of the personality of the name's bearer, K for - protective/ hunter's instinct. Son to Ambassador Ezekiel and Dina Emmons ( Lord & Lady of the C'azador Clan in the Canrral Territory). Studied as a grandmaster of the ancient art of Mjan' Mar...deadly hand to hand combat & a master swordsman level 3 in the Caitian sword combat M'ehozot. Excelled as a pilot in flight/propulsion training, due to his M'hayan roots (Religious Disciplinary Training) and the tapetum lucidum (feline night vision) of the Caitian species. | ||

| + | * Graduated from the Caitian War College in Málagar top of his class. Commanded the 1st Fighter Wing's - 11th Tactical Fighter Squadron "Black Knights". Raised to the rank of Commander for his accomplishments and heroic deeds in the War of Al-Andalis (the war defending against the Romulan conquest of the outer regions). Particularly in the Battle of Tifalgar, where Emmons and his squadron routed a Romulan ambush of a peaceful caravan of civilians. Although outnumbered 3 to 1, the Black Knights were able to ward off the bloody onslaught. Many brave Caitian pilots were lost that day, but the civilian ships all escaped with little to moderate damage, one of the ships was carrying Princess M'anya and half the royal court. In the Battle of Jaumadishu, the Black Knight's fighter group was successful in taking a Romulan battle station down. The destruction of the station was an intrigal part of the turning of the war. In the aftermath of the fight, Az's ship was shot down. He was captured and held for 3 months as a prisoner of war, were he was tortured on a daily basis. As a result of the grueling torture, his claws were damaged and would not grow again, this being a dishonor in his eyes, would be the reason he unlike other Caitians wears shoes to cover his feet. Many influential ambassadors were involed in the retireval of him and other prisoners in an exhcnage with the Romulans. After a few months recovery he was back in a fighter leading the Black Knights. | ||

| + | * As the Black Knights served as an escort attachment to a diplomatic envoy to Federation peace talks, Az met some Starfleet officers who were highly impressed with his service record. They talked him into joining the Starfleet Academy and becoming an asset officer for Starfleet. Az was an outstanding cadet, sponging up as many courses he could get in to. Graduating with a minor in Security and a major in Communications, Az takes his duty to Starfleet to a higher level, trying to become the best officer he can be. | ||
